Team
Parent Responsibilities
1. Set
up a schedule for refreshment responsibilities for each game.
Use roster and game schedule
Assign each player a game to be responsible
for half-time snacks (oranges) and drinks/snacks for the end of the game.
If the assigned player/parent cannot bring
refreshments on the day he or she is scheduled, he or she must contact another
player/parent and switch dates with him or her.
Team parents should call players prior to the
game he or she is scheduled to bring refreshments as a reminder.
2. Develop
a phone tree to contact players and parents when a change of schedule occurs.
The Team Parent should find one or two other
parents to assist in making these phone calls.
The phone tree can also be used
to remind players/parents of refreshment responsibilities, canceled practices/games, and
rescheduled practices/games.
3. Organize
an optional early season get-together for the players and their families.
The Team Parent is responsible for setting up
the event, not providing supplies.
Try to get as many parents involved as
possible.
4. Help
pass out and collect SCNM communications.
Alert parents to SCNM sponsored events such
as fundraisers, clinics, registration, etc.
Provide SCNM Communications Director with
e-mail listing of all players to optimize communication
between The Club and its members.
