Offense

Noah Rossiter played an excellent game-highlighted by a fireball goal off a quality assist from Steve Cronin. Steven notched one of his own, courtesy of a sharp through ball from Anthony Morin. Mike Mclachlan teamed up with Connor Knight to deliver what ultimately became the game winner, on a quick give/go that Connor fired into the net.

Defense

Steven Cronin's spectacular save of a Woodbury penalty kick was key, but a solid overall team performance was needed for the N.M. boys to get this win-and they were up to the challenge. Collin Bohdan had a strong "our man about the field" game with solid support from Matt Coshal, Zack Disorbo, Raj Joshi, Eric Zhu and Alex Immohr.

Comments

What a game! N.M. went up 2-0 around the 30th minute despite near-equal shots on goal. Woodbury closed to 2-1 with a minute left in the 1st half. About 10 minutes into the second, a penalty kick was awarded to Woodbury which was turned away by goalie Steve Cronin. The N.M. side later got some breathing room after scoring a 3rd goal, followed by Woodbury's second with about 3-4 minutes left to go.Kudos to Coach Paul Cameron for strategic, timely decisions throughout the game.
