Comments
After a chaotic tournament last week, the "Fire" are starting
to come together as a soccer team. They are beginning to pass the ball
much better and are staying more organized. Also, more girls are playing
tougher defensively; Christine Habjan and Gigi Fusco were particularly
outstanding defensively, and perhaps more importantly worked hard to find
their teammates for a pass after winning the ball. Jena Hook had a number
of fine passes, and Rachel Weir attacked well with several hard shots on
goal. Emma Fleuette knocked in the 'Fire's' goal on a fine shot, and the
shot was the result of a pass sequence of several passes: impressive,
indeed, as a team goal. Liz Olmsted and Kirsten Potts had a number of fine
stops in goal. A very improved team in a short time. The "Fire"
are going to be a fine team with time. |
