Comments
The girls really worked hard in practice this week at passing and
possession; their hard work showed today, where on several occasions they
strung together 3, 4, even 5 passes in all directions. All season they have
shown more and more patience and knowledge, and it's slowly coming together.
It's hard to pick kids out to highlight because at different times they all
did very well, BUT: Julia Trocchio scored two goals, one off an assist from
Sarah Coshal, the other from Christine Habjan on a corner. Helen Bayers
lofted a shot into the left corner to score the other goal. I was
particularly impressed with Christin Habjan in today, as she was looking up
AS she was receiving the ball--thinking a step or two ahead. Very nice.
Hannah Winter was much more patient today distributing the ball. Nina
Barrett was exciting today in the first half, making runs at the goal and
she ripped a beauty of a shot that went just wide. Emma Fleuette had a great
run along the end line and! cut back a sweet pass to Rachel Weir who took a
shot. These types of plays are what we're looking forward to seeing more and
more of throughout games in the future. Haley Kozar, Lizzie Olmsted, and
Rachel Weir did not get tested on shots, but did an important job gobbling
up loose balls in the box.
