Alexis Perri & Meredith Stapon were strong in goal. Meredith Stapon
made an excellent save on a PK that would have tied the game!
Offense
Rebecca Sanders has an outstanding game, scoring the winning goal from
outside the 18 yard box and playing excellent midfield. Also strong on
offense were Jamie Squires and Marissa Getman, and Faith Eherts at
midfield.
Defense
Nina Oria-Loureiro, Sarah Moore, and Nicole Cammett were successful
containing a very strong Shepaug offense.
Comments
The Storm got off to a quick two-goal head start. After a tie at half
time, both teams scored early in the second half, tying the score yet
again. The team fought hard throughout the rest of the game to hold back
the pressure from a very fit Shepaug team. New Milford's fourth goal with
10 minutes to go concluded the scoring for this game. A great effort by
the entire team. |
