GoalKeeper

Hayley Kozar's strong shot-blocking abilities repeatedly frustrated the Brookfield offense as she made 15 saves in the first half. Kirsten Potts played well in the second half making 3 saves before going down with an injury. Rachel Weir made the last 2 saves, stepping up to fill in for the injured Potts.

Offense

The Fire scored first as Julia Trocchio raced up the sideline and centered the ball perfectly to Lizzie Olmsted who put it in. Julia Trocchio scored later in the second half off of an assist from Sarah Coshal. Emma Fluette and Jena Hook helped control the middle of the field as the Fire continued to press the attack. They were rewarded for their efforts as Nina Barrett found Sarah Coshal in front of the net and she was able to put it past the Brookfield goalie to tie the game.

Defense

Rachel Weir, Hannah Winter, Hayley Kozar, Helen Bayers and Christine Habjan were able to shut down a strong Brookfield attack. Although Brookfield jumped out to a 3-1 lead, the Fire's tremendous defensive pressure stopped their opponent and helped ignite the second half comeback.
