The "Fire" had a great opening to the game in particular,
stringing multiple passes together from all directions and putting pressure
on the Brookfield defense. Hannah Winter was simply outstanding and patient
at center back, and distributed wide or to midfield over and over again. It
was beautiful to watch. Jena Hook stepped up her game, making a number of
really fine passes. Rachel Weir scored on a nice shot, the assist coming
from Sarah Coshal. Rachel also had some of her finest passes all season.
Every girl, at different times in the game, really made some smart decisions
and showed stronger skills. They were certainly not outclassed by a solid
Brookfield team with some strong players and athletes, and on a different
day the score might be different. Good job "Fire." Keep working
hard, and you will only get better!
