Elizabeth Snyder-Mounts had an excellent game. She stopped 6 direct shots
on goal, used the goalie area to her advantage and moved out to stop several
of Brookfield's attacks.
Offense
Lauren Ellis passed the ball to Pia Lucia Artieda as the offense moved
toward the goal. Assisting in New Milford's sole goal. Mia Nahom carried the
ball forward in a number of offensive drives into Brookfield-W's goal area
and had 4 shots on goal. Also, Kira Page had 5 shots on goal.
Defense
Katie Girardot stopped 12 of Brookfield-W's offensive drives. Katie also
used her speed to support the offense in several drives into Brookfield's
side of the field. Ashley Berry and Brooke Landry combined to stop 12
attacks.
Comments
Overall New Milford Galaxy played team soccer. The mid-fielders, Ellen
Trautwein, Kailyn Schuster, Lauren Ellis, Ashley Berry, and Kaitlyn DeFalco
all worked hard to support both the offense and defense through out the
entire game. Ellen and Kailyn both controlled the ball well, moving up the
sidelines and driving the ball into the goal area.
