Offense
A strong offensive outburst was highlighted by Anthony Morin's "hat
trick". After Connor Knight, Mike Mclachlan and Nate Tower pelted the
Brookfield goal-Anthony struck twice in the first half. Connor Knight
tallied another to make it 3-0 in the first.Nate Tower put the N.M. boys up
4-0 in the 2nd with a clever, skillful shot. Anthony blasted in his 3rd from
outside the box, and the talented Steve Cronin scored yet again-notching his
fourth in as many games. Donald Tuz, Noah Rossiter,and Luke Anderson rounded
out the high-flying attack.
Defense
The New Milford defense was stifling. Starting with Matt Coshal's
superlative blanketing of any Brookfield through balls; Eric Zhu, Zack
Disorbo, Collin Bohdan, Alex Immohr, and Raj Joshi kept kept play in the
Brookfield end for the majority of the game.
Comments
An exhilarating offensive outburst right from the opening minute had the
Brookfield side reeling throughout the game. Fine, though minimally
challenged, keeper work by Mike Piper and Steven Cronin; along with a
"locked" team "D", earned the New Milford side their
first shutout.
