A Welcome Letter from our VP to
Coaches/Team Managers
Dear Coaches,
Assistant Coaches and Team Managers,
Welcome to the Spring 2006
Soccer Season! Thank you all for your time and efforts and
commitment ot the development of our young players. Our club would
not work if not for your dedication. Thank you!!
Coaches Passes:
If you are a new coach and
have not given a picture to our registrar, Cathy Rehaag, please do so
today or tomorrow (by Tue, 3/28). You need a player pass to be on
the sidelines for games. If you are a returning coach you do not
need a new pass for the Spring.
First, some
important dates:
The start of the season is
officially scheduled for Saturday, April 8th.
The District's MANDATORY
Travel Coaches Meeting
Wednesday, April 5th
D1 - 6:30pm and D2 7:30pm
St. John's Church in Watertown
The SCNM Travel Coaches
Meeting
Thursday, April 6th, 7:30PM
Connecticut Sports Complex
You will receive your game
date schedule at the district coaches meeting. Game times for home
games will be in your packages with your rosters at the SCNM coaches
meetings. You will also receive player passes and ball bags at the
SCNM coaches meeting. You will need to have a representative from
your coaching staff at both of the meetings.
Some towns may not have
games on April 8/9 as their fields may not be open. Any games
not played that weekend will need to be made up before the end of the
season. If your first game is a home game you will be given the
time of the game at our club coaches meeting on the 6th. You will
need to notify the other teams coach right away so they can tell their
team the time and location of the game. It will be very
important to attend both meetings. Tell your team in advance that
they may have a game with the time and field to be announced.
Practices
You can practice with your
teams now if you wish, but please stay away from the goal mouths on the
game fields. Move the goals if possible, but please help save our
fields for the season. If it is wet, please do not practice on the
game fields.
Practice and MLS training
schedules will be available later this week.
State Cup
All U11 and up Division 1
teams will be entered in the State Cup tournament. Your teams are
automatically registered and participation is mandatory. You will
receive notification from CJSA on the schedule for your first game
in the coming weeks.
If you have any other
questions please let me know. We will be sharing more information
with you over the coming week, such as current rosters, practice
schedules, etc.
Thank you all again for your
time and dedication!
Yours in Soccer,
Mark
